School subjects

There are subjects which every student must complete in upper secondary school. Subjects are: Finnish, Swedish, English, Maths, Physics, Chemistry, History, Geography, Biology, Religious Education, Philosophy, Arts, Hygiene, Music, Student Counselling and Physical Education.

In addition to them, you can also choose optional courses of Psychology, French, German, Russian, Information Technology, Home Economics and Crafts or you can choose advanced courses in compulsory subjects. In maths, you have to choose between advanced syllabus and basic syllabus.
